You can divide the things in the Leader\u2019s Tool Kit into several chaperone backpacks. They go with you wherever you go and will help you feel prepared to deal with any emergency. I give the first aid kit and medications to the first aider. I usually keep my Travel Binder and all the other \u201cfix it\u201d things.<\/p>\n<p>Travel Tool Kit<br \/>\n\u2022 First Aid kit and an A<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">ccident Report form (I keep a blank accident report form folded in my first aid kit, If you have any accidents on the trip you&#8217;ll fill that out and get it to your Activity Consultant who sends it to council, they&#8217;ll help your scout with insurance if needed and keep the report on file for 20 years!)<br \/>\n\u2022 Each girl&#8217;s medications (in small sandwich bags with girl\u2019s name in sharpie on outside)<br \/>\n\u2022 Medication and accident log and a pen (I keep this in one big Ziploc bag with the and the instructions for dosage and signed permission to give medication so it\u2019s all in one place.)<br \/>\n\u2022 Emergency fix it kit (with safety pins, needle and thread, duct tape, small scissors, pen and paper \u2013 you can wedge these into your first aid kit if they fit)<br \/>\n\u2022 Extra feminine hygiene supplies<br \/>\n\u2022 trash bags for liter, makeshift rain gear, storage, wet clothing<br \/>\n\u2022 zip bags for motion sickness<br \/>\n\u2022 hand wipes, tissues and\/or paper towels<br \/>\n\u2022 extra beanie hats or gloves for that unexpectedly cold walk across the bridge<br \/>\n\u2022 Map of the city<br \/>\n\u2022 ideas for travel games<br \/>\n\u2022 troop credit\/debit card &#8211; call the bank before you go to let them know that you\u2019re traveling. Some leaders have had trouble using cards when traveling even domestically.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<p>Travel Binder with:<br \/>\n\u2022 budget (we made estimates for each meal and activity that add up to our budgeted amount and then we write the actual expense next to it..so we can keep a running tab of how much we\u2019re over or under)<br \/>\n\u2022 Itinerary<br \/>\n\u2022 Important Papers \u2013 lodging reservations, car rental agreements, boarding passes, confirmation numbers, bridging information, proof of insurance<br \/>\n\u2022 Safety Management Plan with Emergency Contact phone numbers (I also made a single page spread sheet with each girl&#8217;s name, emergency phone numbers, health insurance phone number and policy number along with phone number and confirmation numbers for lodging and travel and the council emergency numbers so that I&#8217;d have that in one easy place)<br \/>\n\u2022 Permission slips and health histories for each girl and adult (separated by car if you&#8217;re driving up),<br \/>\n\u2022 Council Emergency procedures sheet and\/or card<br \/>\n\u2022 Code of Conduct (In case you need to remind anyone about what you agreed on)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ve talked about what is on the packing list but the adults have a separate list of important things!
