I only found one campground (private, River’s End, tents) on Tybee Island, even though several people had mentioned more. Skidaway Island (30 min from Savannah) and Fort McAllister (42 min) State Parks have Camper Cabins and Cottages that could be good for traveling troops. You’d need cars, which are unnecessary otherwise. I did not have a chance to check them out, in person or online. Definitely more research needed on that.

Accommodations vary. Got patches.

First Head Quarters – was girl lead by a HS senior. My girls loves that and the history / sun facts. Forgot masks and it was frustrating to deal with that. But thankfully the Pottery Barn down the street gave my co-leader an entire free box!!! (We were literally asking business if they had any). Got patches.

Savannah Candy on River Street was amazing. Our girl guide was great. Girls got to taste SO much! They loved it. They were out of patches but were mailing them.

Old Fort Jackson GS tour- I think the girls didn’t know what to expect but LOVED it. Our guide was awesome. Easy nice girls enjoyed.

Goose Feather’s- they were awesome. I didn’t confirm my date and had Saturday instead of Friday. She was awesome and made it work. Girls LOVED their food.

The Soda Pop Shoppe- easy and cheep girls liked. It was basically a brown bag lunch. Owner is also super nice.

We drove so I kept a cooler filled with water, Gatorade and fruit which they had to refill on each time we went to the car. Helped with keeping everyone hydrated.

Bridging- when we were on the trolley we saw a troop bridging at Forsyth Park by the fountain. I loved it and we bridged them also. We did the silver key ceremony.

I ended with the life lessons from the Sea Turtle and gave them all a turtle bracelet. It was probably our best ceremony.

Our girls loved seeing all the other troops. Thank you to the troop from Wisconsin who gave us the cute cow patches.
