• Live Chat & Poster Masking for Volunteer Celebration – Monday Oct, 19th 6pm

as Chief Executive Officer Carol Dedrich and some GSSD honorees share the inside scoop on Volunteer Celebration. 

Then, at 7 p.m., you’re invited to the post-chat poster making party, directly following our Facebook Live chat. Come prepared with poster board, fabric, confetti…whatever you will need to make your most celebratory backdrop for our virtual Volunteer Celebration. Get creative with members of the Girl Scout Network of San Diego, including staff, volunteers, and other GSSD supporters. Email recognition@sdgirlscouts.org for information about how to join the meeting.

• Virtual Round Up for TK-3rd graders (Girl Scouts informational meeting)

Girls who invite and attend with a non-GS friend will earn a “Bring a Buddy” patch.

Camp Hogwarts awaits all wizards and witches! Please join us for the 2021 Sunny Trails Encampment! 

Registration deadline – November 23rd, 2020 DOWNLOAD FLYER HERE

Deposit due at registration: $25 (adult) / $45 (girl) * Total due (in-person experience) $55 (adult) / $65 (girl)

(NOTE: event contingent upon most recent guidelines (at time of event) from GSUSA and GSSD, who rely on information received from the World Health Organization, the Center for Disease Control, and local health agencies. If unable to return to in-person gatherings, we will move forward virtually.

Announcements:  

• Our council’s Volunteer Celebration to be held on November 7 (virtual) 

Awardees will be honored and recognized by council at that time.

• Take Action Project – Troop 6034 (Susanna King)

Troop 6034 Take Action Project: We chose to help Jewish Family Services by bringing awareness and helping others make cards for seniors in isolation in nursing homes due to COVID-19. We would like to ask the leaders at the October 15th Service unit meeting how many of their troops would be interested in receiving kits to help them make cards for the JFS. If you could put us on the agenda for 5 minutes, that would be great.

After carefully monitoring our community’s COVID-19 guidelines and researching safe ways to bring members together, we have developed a safety checklist for hosting in-person meetings and activities for girls and adults as well as a participation guidance and waiver form.
