Service Unit Volunteer Appreciation Night “Painting Party”: Thursday, May 23, 6pm – 8pm. Registration is now closed. $3 parking payable at the site. Sweetwater Summit Regional Park. For those painting, you may want to consider bringing aprons. (Jacky Dyess).

Powder Puff Derby: Sunday, June 2, 11am – 2pm, Montevalle Hawk Park (Troop 6171 Emily Santelices)

Volunteer Conference: Saturday, August 3, 8:00am – 6:30pm, San Diego Convention Center. Registration is now open and closes July 21. Early bird special $40 until June 30; thereafter $50.

Announcements:

Girl Scouts Swim Testing: Carolyn Lechter, Loma Verde Swimming Pool. Swim tests available for $2 per girl. Please contact Carolyn Lechter at clechner@chulavistaca.gov or (619) 409-1988.

Spring Membership Campaign: Extended Membership rates for new girls ($35 for May 1, 2019 – Sept 30, 2020). Girls who sign up or renew by Friday, May 17 receive the new Unicorn patch. Renewal rate: $25 for Oct 1, 2019 – Sept 30, 2020. Troop and leader Incentives when 80% girls renew by May 31.

Financials Updates – Troop Financials are due: Sunday, June 30,2019 via toolkit. Sunny Trails is offering an incentive to win one of four gift cards to the Girl Scouts store if troops submit financials by Saturday, June 1. To be eligible for incentive, troops must have two leader roles (Leader/Leader or Leader/Co-Leader) on their official roster and meet the deadline of June 1. (Marilou Thomas)

S.H.A.R.E: Sunny Trails’ S.H.A.R.E. campaign – Today is the last day for our fundraising and we are collecting change to support S.H.A.R.E. Troops who have made an average donation of $7.50 per girl by today earns the S.H.A.R.E patch. Troops may donate throughout the year at sdgirlscouts.org/share or by sending a check to Girl Scouts San Diego, 1231 Upas St, SD CA 92103. Be sure to indicate “Sunny Trails” so we receive credit.
